Simple rules are simple. It doesn't always make them right (ie up until this year women tennis players deserved to be paid less than men because 'they were the rules'....)

How are a few results here for Aussie male triers along with the girls hurting anyone? How is affecting user enjoyment on here?

I wonder if it's a case of over-policing. The thread never seems to have attracted any negative attention other than yours in the past. Is there a higher authority in here?

If not, I apologise for perhaps appearing to criticise you, my lord and master.
I am not your lord and master. I also see no problem in you telling me how you feel on the matter, so no need to apologize for anything.

Fact remains though we have certain policies on here. One of them is that men's tennis belongs on MTF, the sister site of this one. If we allowed men's tennis here, the site would get even more clogged and hard to handle. There is a reason therefore a seperate site exists.

We could make exceptions, but that does not help us in any way, cause it only makes it harder to enforce the rules. If we make an exception for this forum, other forums will naturally demand they have the right to place men's results as well. It is irrelevant whether or not this thread attracted negative attention before.

Re: Aussie Girls Results

I don't understand why it matters if we post mens results... what negative impact does it have on ANYTHING? I am so lost, there is no need... I could talk about something COMPLETELY non-tennis related in this thread and no one would care, so why does it matter... we are still talking about tennis... WTF!

Err..actually, if you look around - that's not quite correct..

There are PLENTY of 'non-women's tennis' threads on WTAWorld. Ones dealing with 'Big Brother', ones talking about other sports such as athletics, and ones discussing....oh I dunno...'Britney Spears', 'Favourite Porn Stars' and 'Canada's Minister for the Environment' from a quick look at the non-tennis threads on the site. None of them appear to be discussions where only women can be mentioned. There are probably 5000 threads talking about non-tennis matters in here but one thread with a few male results will 'clog' the place??

Maybe, I'm stupid....but that's what I don't understand. It's ok to have threads talking about non-tennis topics on WTA World, but if you talk tennis it's gotta be a man-free zone????

Err....what was the purpose of this rule again??

Re: Aussie Girls Results

Only had to look around a few of the other player forums (Hingis, Hantuchova, Sharapova etc) to find threads completely off topic, with nothing to do with tennis whatsoever. Why are these allowed, while we are not allowed to talk about TENNIS in a TENNIS forum?

Go the Aussies

Sophie Ferguson ~ Casey Dellacqua ~ Samantha Stosur ~ Jessica Moore ~ Christina Wheeler ~ Monique Adamczak ~

I have already explained that. There are two sites, Wtaworld and MTF, one is for women's tennis, the other for men's tennis. So the tennis part of these sites concerns either one. Both sites also have other forums related to non-tennis subjects. One could wonder whether a tennis forum should have those, but that is another matter entirely. Same thing can be said about non-tennis subjects within player forums. Clear is however that subjects related to men's tennis need to be on MTF.

If you look at just how many people have posted in opposition to your ''proposal'' and you can count the number of people who complained on one hand, shouldn't you the ''majority rules'' concept apply. After all, I was always under the impression that WTAWorld was run in a democratic fashion and not under your strict and distasteful dictatorship

I wasn't putting forward a proposal, I was explaining a rule. When you join the site, you are always asked to obey the rules. That's how it works on a forum. We can't have everyone giving their own interpretation all the time.

And try not to shoot the messenger, I only convey the bad news and I definitely do not think of these things by myself.

Re: Aussie Girls Results

You can try and place these results anyway, but that will definitely result in deletion. So I suggest you do the wise thing and accept the situation.

Did you just take vCash away from me for exercising my right to free speech?

I am going to say it one more time and this time try to listen to me. The situation is how it is, that ain't going to change. When I delete a post it will result in loss of Vcash. So be the wise one and do not resist this any further. I have no desire to suspend you, but if that's what it takes. So don't push it further for your own good.

That is a wise decision. Just relax and take a breather. Things will look better that way and you may realise it isn't all that bad as it seems.
