Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

^ Nice to see Kayla McPhee going o/s. Saw her play a little at the 16's Champs, nice compact game though I thought her groundies did land a little short to often. Be interesting to see how she goes.

I don't think a guaranteed $1,000 pay check in Sydney can be viewed as a mistake.

Exactly! And she could shock us all and win a round or two and then be awarded with a QWC to Aust Open! Why wouldn't she take that chance!

I saw on her ig she was in Brissy this week with Rus. And also Ash Sumner in Brissy as well with Watson then watching Watson play. Funny how they know each other damn that they couldnt be as successful as them

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Because she won't win a round or two and building her confidence is more important... Anyway she could make the Final of that Indian 10K (wouldn't beat Raina) and would therefore almost get $1000 and points and confidence even if she has to spend it to get there...

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Plenty of time after January for Issy to head overseas and lose to randoms at 10ks.... if she really wants to make a decent shot at a comeback then she is wise in taking a shot here, home court, known conditions and playing a quality opponent or two showing her exactly what she needs to work on over the coming months if she is ever going to get back up the rankings.

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

^ Now that I think of it, would Kayla be in line for a birth in the AO junior slam and play the junior tournament in Traralgon?

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Should you make this "Overseas ITFs" or maybe have a separate one for Futures and Challengers? And is tehre seriously only 1 Australian playing outside Oz this week
