Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Boj withdrew from her 2nd round match guess the injury is still lurking around.

Monique through to QF with 0-6 6-2 6-4 win over Fichman got very tight trying to serve it out but got there in the end!

Liv down a set but 3-2 on serve in the second

Boj!

Great win for Mon, especially with that comeback.

Liv just took the 2nd set 6-2 - another good comeback

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Boj's match yesterday had about a 10 minute break at 2-1 in the thrid, so i reckon that was an injury time out. if she can play out a match with a niggling injury i don't reckon it's too bad... maybe just a precaution pulling out today

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Hmmm, I hope it's a precaution too because she has shown these past couple of weeks that she is competitive and ready to pick up where she left off. I'd like to see her play the rest of the year with no pressure and at least try and consolidate a top 300 ranking with all those points coming off

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Mon lost too

But they were both kinda of expected as Liv played Burdette

I'm actually kind of impressed by these 2 this week, and Liv has an open shot at the doubles final (w/Glushko) when they take on American Qualifiers Cako/Pluskota.

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Yeah i'm happy with it! One more win each would have been amazing but QF of 100k is good for both of them. Particularly impressed with Olivia beating BMS hopefully she can do some damage leading up to the US Open. It really wont' take too much to crack the top 100.

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

$25,000 Moscow

R1: [Q] Yuliya Kalabina RUS def. [6] Arina Rodionova AUS 6-2 6-2
Yuliya went on to win the tournament so i suppose this loss isn't so bad.
Arina won the doubles title tho which suggests she is physically decent. Playing with Valeria Solovieva they were top seeds.

Gavrilova | Stosur | Barty | Rodionova | Aiava | Tomljanovic | Adamczak | Dellacqua

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

how come Arina is still under RUS? Didn't she have to wait for 6 months or something (which it already has been)
