Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Currently on a 5 match losing streak ( its actually less than I thought)

Her last win being over Gabbi Tepic a 24 Y.o from Sweden who is 0-6 in pro tennis (main draws), and is a NR

before her win she was also on a 5 match losing streak.

Monika has retired. Someone on here said she confirmed it on twitter or something.

Jade has most likely given up tennis to go study. She always wanted to go to uni, so I'm sure that's where her priorities are.

As for Tammi, well she has never recovered or regained confidence after her injury last year so I'd say she's a part timer now that's probably close to retiring, if not already retired. We'll see if she pops up in the entry lists for the 25K's this year.

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

I can't help but think what we would be saying if she didn't lose to Dokic 6-0 6 in Sydney. Then only winning 2 games in melbourne. I think the just destroyed her.

Sharapova ~ Li ~ Kerber ~ Kvitova ~ Kirilenko ~ Ivanovic ~ Stephens ~ Makarova ~ Safarova ~ Cirstea ~ Goerges ~ Cornet ~ Lisicki ~ Robson ~ Watson ~ Kanepi ~ Keys ~ Tsurenko ~ Wozniak ~ Puig ~ Oudin ~ Petkovic ~ Sevastova ~ Rezai

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Liv just beat Mattek-Sands 6-3 6-4 That is awesome! I know Beth is on the rebound from injury, but it's still a quality win. After Glushko thrashed BSM last week, Liv must have felt she was in with a shot.

Boj currently down a break in the 3rd set against Brodsky.

RE: the Bella comments... I hope everyone is right, I'm just baffled by the results and looking for answers.

Liv given her current form that's gotta be a huge boost! Keep going!

Was not expecting that Monique! Top 200 now again

Boj doing well to take a set from Gail, looking forward to a great Aussie circuit from her

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Boj took the match 6-4 3-6 7-6(7)

Amazing scoreline and great for her confidence as she's lost some tight ones this year.

3 Aussies in the second round of a $100K! Awesome!

Round 2 will be -

Bobusic v Jessica Pegula
Adamczak v Sharon Fichman
Rogowska v Maria Sanchez

Some tough matches, but hopefully they can pull through. Pegulas is a tough young player who took out top seed Minella. Fichman can rally all day but can also be blown off the court, and Sanchez is a very good player from the college system. Good luck girls!

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

That was the first Aussie Konta's ever played right?

Great first round wins from all three girls. Boj is a legend.

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

really happy with Boj! before last week she hadn't won any matches (main draw or qualifying) above 25k level, and now she's made the quarter finals of a 50k and is in the second round of a 100k. and only a few tournaments in after a four month break due to injury

I didn't realise that. Great statistic! I think I love her. And yes, in a creepy way. (I'm joking of course)

Deeon Mladin got her 1st WTA point for the year with a win in Turkey after qualifying

Leah Daw did well to qualify in UK $10k but lost 1st round.
