Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Sophie actually beat Namigata last time they played in Esperance at the end of last year, was hoping she could pull off the upset. Glad she's playing though, rough first round.

Well let's hope that Izzy can take this title out and push towards the top 250.

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Good work Izzy. So nice to see her rising steadily - I think she'll hit new career-highs in singles and doubles after this week. Hope she keeps winning in Uzbekistan!

Disappointing from Liv - also that her 16-match doubles winning streak was broken

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Wow, that's fantastic. This would be Izzy best overseas performance so far wouldn't it?

Good luck in SF!

USA - 100K
Alt - Hollands

Uzbekistan - 25K

Great to see pretty much all of our top ITF players have left Australia. Dani D was in alternates for the 100K in France but withdrew, wonder if she is actually planing to play OS?
Good luck girls, especially Sally, Sophie and Jess.

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Not sure where Sophie L and Tammi have disapeared to as they could just stayed in Japan and Germany respectively and played back to back tournaments?

Sally and Jess' draw

(2)Sally Peers (AUS) v BYE
Severine Beltrame (FRA) v Alize Lim (FRA)

Jessica Moore (AUS) v Liga Dekmeijere (LAT)
(6)Lara Arruabarrena-Vecino (ESP) v Martina Parmigiani (ITA)

Would be great to see these girls fight it out in the final Q round, I don't think they have ever faced each other.

Samantha Stosur, Daniela Hantuchova, Lucie Safarova

Kim Birrell, Sabine Lisicki, Abbie Myers, Priscilla Hon

Kristina Mladenovic, Heather Watson, Ana Konjuh, Zoe Hives

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Dani D is playing overseas! She entered the Turkey $10k late and so is in the qualifying draw.

Konta lost in Q1 but Jess Moore had an easy win

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers

Jess lost her Q2 match in France easily too.

In Turkey, Dani D lost her easy qualifying match! She went down 1-6 6-3 6-1

Skye Hopper lost too but Mary-Ann Balint made it through to MD

Really looking forward to see if Sophie F can knock up some wins in France this week.
