Yes, it might be WAYY to early to create a thread for a girl born in 2003 who isn't eligible to play ITF juniors yet :hysteric: But damn, this girl is a star.

A little more information about her...

NAME: Poulos, Annerly
DOB: 8 Jan, 2003
TOWN: Canberra
AUS RANKING: 301

Winner of 2014 12/U Girls championships, aged 11

And right now, Poulos as a 12 year old has reached the final of the 14/U championships, on an impressive streak defeating the likes of players such as Gadecki and Bishop and faces Marshall in the final. :worship:

Even her ATL results are impressive, wins over the likes of Kriegsmannova (CHR: 430) and crushed Hudaly.

Some articles on Annerly, she has a very interesting mix, is Samoan/Greek :)

Re: Annerly Poulos (born 2003)

Is it the earliest you have opened one?

Does that mean since she turns 13 in January we can give her a wildcard for Australian open junior qualifying?? Hehe
yes http://www.itftennis.com/media/194281/194281.pdf

Only boys and girls who are under the jurisdiction of a national tennis association
affiliated to the ITF and who are born between 1st January 1997 and 31st December
2002 may compete in any of the tournaments that comprise the 2015 ITF Junior Circuit.
They must be in “good standing” with their national association as defined in Appendix
M of the ITF Junior Circuit Regulations. Players may not participate in any ITF Junior
Circuit tournament unless they have reached their thirteenth (13) birthday before the
start of the main draw. In accordance with the ITF Junior Age Eligibility Rules set out
in Appendix G, players are limited in the number of tournaments in which they are
permitted to participate in a calendar year according to their age.

Re: Annerly Poulos (born 2003)

Annerly played the U14 WTA future stars event in Singapore. She reached the SFs but lost to Olesya Kim

She also played 2 G5 events in September in Sydney and Canberra. She reached the QF of the Sydney G5 event losing to Marshall in the QFs  But then won her hometown event in Canberra quite easily too :hearts:

Currently she sits on a career high around 985

Also stumbled upon this interview with her and was so surprised with how mature and humble she already is

Re: Annerly Poulos (born 2003)

Annerly reached her second U14 Championships in a row, however she lost to Gadecki in the final

She is currently playing the U16 Championships this week, where she qualified easily and could face Gadecki in R2 again!
