the oldest QF in this tournament,
with both players over 30, former TOP 3,
and as well similar styles,
can you picture how long the match will go?
however, Martinez does have the edge,
she has a Slam while Amanda never won tier I or better title,
she reached #2 while Amanda "only" reached #3,
and the overwhelming wins in there H2H......
so who will win?

Amanda DOES infact have a Tier I title. This is hardcourt, and Amanda has played better the past two weeks, she should win in two r three.

i say conchita 7/5 6/3,

can't really see how amanda can hurt her???

Wimbledon champion, Australian open runner up, French open runner up, US Open semi finalist, World no 2, Fed Cup darling, Italian Open queen, Berlin doyenne, Hilton Head heroine, Philadelphia Princess,...the beautiful, incomparable CONCHITA - A 1988 vintage - sweet, fruity and just gets better with age!

P.S - If Conchi ain't in the draw - go Monica!

Amanda has really stepped it up these past few weeks. that's the key factor in this matchup, and i think Amanda's gonna win, and i want her to win. but the dreaded h2h could haunt her during this match

Jelena Dokic.Vera Zvonareva.Tatiana Golovin.Mary Pierce.Monica Seles.Martina Hingis.Anna Kournikova

I don't think it will be long or very tough
if Amanda played like she did against Dani,
Amanda will win 6-1 6-3
she is faster, she is hitting
harder, she is more aggresive, she is coming to net, she is playing the conchita of 2003 who is not too consistent , not comparable to 2000 yet alone before 97, this Amanda is exremely confident 1 title, 1 final, and now atleast a qf(sf), this is a different Amanda on a different day, and last time thay played on hard Amanda destroyed her, this will be very much the same, I have predicted this tournament for her nearly perfectly so far
it will come true
and by the way conchita had nice wins, but who did she play rittner- not the best form this year and a 3 setter, razzano- another 3 setter with a player struggling, and gagliardi in two easy sets, but if you watched the gagliardi match you can tell gagliardi played pretty bad at the least.
Amanda beat koukalova 6-2 6-2, a young and talented, and very powerful girl, raymond-with a great year so far 6-0 6-3, and dani a solid top tenner 6-4 6-4
head to heads can only take you a short distance when two players haven't played in 3 years.
next Amanda 6-1 6-3
