The fact it's a much faster surface than last week would probably help her a bit against Petkovic... but she'll have to play a lot better than this if she wants to actually win that match.
Still maintain that Petra probably won't really find form again 'til next year.
She´ll show up for the US Open. Despite her inconsistency, she has had only one loss to a total nobody in a Slam since she was 18. She is a big match performer imho and now her game has caught up.

9 double faults, and 23% BP conversion rate (or what ever it was), is just terrible.
Where would you have been if Scheepers didn't double fault multiple times on her own? Smh.
You cannot lose to "blah" Petkovic 2x in a row, when her game is just so ordinary, and yours can be so spectacular and intimidating.
We'll see?
PS: Putting ancient, decrepit, no chance of winning Blake, on the grandstand, so we fans can view Livescore, was almost a crueler fate, than us probably having to watch the match in the first place. Lol
American, or not; nobody cares about Blake vs Fognini. I'm sorry! Why did they pull, and not turn back on the court 3 camera, after the doubles match?
This is Petra's actual level of play and Scheepers did well to expose Petra's weaknesses today, but was sadly unable to pull out the win. Her performances here and in Toronto last week fully show that her Wimbledon title was a huge fluke:shrug:
She doesn't appear to have any real fans on GM. It's quite sad. She's as nice a woman as they come, and she doesn't appear to be a headcase. Not yet anyway....
Petra will be ok. I expect absolutely nothing in the next year, even Serena needed some time after her first GS to settle to the new expectations and develop further her game. Every good result in the next 12 months is just a huge plus. Petra needs to start practicing and a wake-up call. This is good for her to have better results than last year but to understand she needs to work a lot. I hope her next match will have a stream
I really want her to do well, and she's so sweet. I'm definitely going to be a fan of hers for the rest of her career. When she was playing, she was just so tight, as I wrote in my report on the match. I stayed for just one set, but she just looked like she could not relax out there. She was second guessing everything, including her movement.
