But worst case scenario is that she could be unseeded in US Open qualifying. And as it's held on hardourt an early exit is not impossible. Her results in the preperation tournaments on hardcourt last year weren't that great even though she was in better shape than this year.

On the other hand - there are no itf's on clay higher than 25K. Maybe going to Bogota and playing the 100K there and going to the US to hardcourt after that might be a good option.

Re: Dinah Pfizenmaier

yeah, ITF Tour is not really good ATM

Something was bound to go right sometime today, All these broken pieces fit together to make a perfect picture of us
It got cold and then dark so suddenly and rained, It rained so hard the two of us were the only thing
That we could see for miles and miles
And in the middle of the flood I felt my worth, When you held onto me like I was your little life raft
Please know that you were mine as well
Drops of water hit the ground like God's own tears
And spread out into shapes like Salad bowls and basins and buckets for bailing out the flood

Re: Dinah Pfizenmaier

Re: Dinah Pfizenmaier

Really tough first round. In my opinion tougher than Torro-Flor last week.

Re: Dinah Pfizenmaier

Very tough R1. Polona has won the tournament twice before... so she's used to the conditions of the court, the atmosphere, the altitude (if any), and gains a lot of confidence in Bastad. Dinah will have to play above and beyond to win...

Despite not making many winners, she's still an agressive baseliner, and she doesn't only win matches by waiting the opponent's mistake, though she can do that at times also.

Re: Dinah Pfizenmaier

looking at the stats and reading the comments..seems like it was an awful match but Dinah won it, that is the only thing that counts!
Great that she was able to take the chance here and get the 1st round win, she needs some points for her rankings and some wins for her confidence.

Putintseva next, who wasn´t really impressive after she came back from her injury, we´ll see, hopefully Dinah´s serve will work better in that match, otherwise it will be really hard to win..

Re: Dinah Pfizenmaier

But Putintseva has no really weapon. She is just consistant. Good opportunity for Dinah to make the quarters here. And that would be very important.

Re: Dinah Pfizenmaier

"Habe heute mein Match in Bastad gegen P. Hercog 7-5 7-6(5) gewonnen .

Good analyisis. I saw it the same way.
