She actually was playing pretty good, yes. She somehow lost the plot after she lost a very close Servicegame at 2-2 2nd set, i guess she missed an easy forehand, that would have brought a 3-2 lead.

She can't afford all those errors with her gamestyle, I mean, Cibulkova was beatable today. But another match, Annika will learn from. And it's not over, yet.

Annika

She played really well until 6-3, *2-2 and 40-15. Unfortunately her game fell a bit apart after she lost that service game.

Re: Annika Beck

It seems to be that Beck will play Poitiers and Barnstaple. She has still more than 200 points to defend this season.

Re: Annika Beck

Don't really like that. She looked exhausted in the last few weeks. Would prefer it if she took the little ranking hit and prepared well for next season.

Re: Annika Beck

I agree, she seems rather burnt out and it's understandable considering she just had her first full season.

I'm pretty sure she won't play the German Championships though, so that's one tournament less than last year.

Re: Annika Beck

Went down 0-2 at the beginning of the 2nd set, but right now she is bossing it, broke beak and now has 0-30 on Pironkova's serve.

Re: Annika Beck

She should always play against Pironkova, right now Annika is playing virtually flawless. *5-2
