Biggest wasted talents in recent years?

Who do you think wasted the most talent and always stayed at the end far behind her real talent? I think in Germany are a few players like this, but who really is it? Compare it with that what they have done so far in their career.

Weingärtner, Marlene (Career-High: 36)
Kandarr, Jana (Career-High: 43)
Glass, Andrea (Career-High: 53)
Lamade, Bianca (Career-High: 59)
Roesch, Angelika (Career-High: 69) *
Kloesel, Sandra (Career-High: 87) *
Abe, Julia (Career-High: 119)
Klaschka, Sabine (Career-High: 133) *
Werner, Scarlett (Career-High: 287)

Others? Who?

* = Still active, but not the biggest improvement are probably to expect.

I was not a fan of her , but I would say Julia Abe. She just disappeared after reaching Roland Garros maindraw

Re: Biggest wasted talents in recent years?

I go especially with Weingärtner & Roesch, Weingärtner had IMO definitely the game to go inside Top-20 for sure, which was good to see with her great wins over players like Capriati, Coetzer, Testud, Sanchez-Vicario etc.

Roesch, for me she has a beautiful game and a very talented one. For her it always been the attitude towards the sports, otherwise she could have a pretty successful career I think. Pretty sad that she got so big problems with her nerves and from what I have heard her coaches after reaching her career-high. Sometimes when she wants, she still shows today what she can, but if she doesn't want........

Kloesel is IMO a player too, who could have reached Top-50 definitely.

Re: Biggest wasted talents in recent years?

Weingärtner followed by Lamade

Something was bound to go right sometime today, All these broken pieces fit together to make a perfect picture of us
It got cold and then dark so suddenly and rained, It rained so hard the two of us were the only thing
That we could see for miles and miles
And in the middle of the flood I felt my worth, When you held onto me like I was your little life raft
Please know that you were mine as well
Drops of water hit the ground like God's own tears
And spread out into shapes like Salad bowls and basins and buckets for bailing out the flood

Re: Biggest wasted talents in recent years?

Weingärtner, Abe (she was really, really talented)...

I also think Kloesel could have been top-50.
Müller overachieved.

Kandarr probably also.

Kandarr war vermutlich ganz gut dabei mit ihrer Ranglistenposition,ja, aber Weingärtner = begrenzt? Hmmm, also das finde ich mal überhaupt nicht
