Was denkt Ihr über die Resultate 2004 bislang ?

I think that Anca´s results are solid, but not too promising for a solid top40 rank in 2004.

I think Marlene did quite good not to go down too fast having to defend Australia 2003 was a heavy burden for her season-opening but she managed to remain top75 and could climb to top40 in 2004.

Grönefeld kind of disappointed me so far. I expected her to reach some main draws when playing qualifying and I don´t see her having a major breakthrough before 2005. She should be top80 by the end of the year though.

Is Rittner quit for singles ?

Schruff will never make it to the topt100 soon. I would say that Gehrlein could do this. Roesch and Klösel will remain top150.

What I cannot say is wether or not Müller, Lamade, Werner and Arn can re-start their careers. Lamade and Muller have top50 potential. Arn managed to take some sets from top players. And Werner never made it anywhere ?!

Barna - she missed 2 great opportunities as she lost twice in QF before the Aus-Open
she should win this matches if she want to enter the top40

Weingärtner - she is doing her stuff. i don´t expect more from her

Grönefeld - i´m a bit dissapointed too, but i think she is still young. but i´m a bit worried about her heavy schedule. she is commited to a tournament each week.

Müller - okay she won a 10K, what is good for her after her very bad results last year, but she is a lot better, so we have to wait whta she is doing this year, but it will be a tough way back to the top200 or top100

Lamade - at least i´m happy she is commited again (Buchen-Amiens-St.Petersburg)
i hope she used the time to work on her shape, then she could kick ass

Kerber - good Junior results down under, and now a great Tournament in Warsaw, i think she is even more talented the ALG. next week she will be around #350 in the ranking, and with a good schedule she could be around #230 in december and this would allow her to play AUS-Open quali
schedule is important because she can just play 10 tournaments this year because of her age -> 16

Something was bound to go right sometime today, All these broken pieces fit together to make a perfect picture of us
It got cold and then dark so suddenly and rained, It rained so hard the two of us were the only thing
That we could see for miles and miles
And in the middle of the flood I felt my worth, When you held onto me like I was your little life raft
Please know that you were mine as well
Drops of water hit the ground like God's own tears
And spread out into shapes like Salad bowls and basins and buckets for bailing out the flood

Rittner said at AO that she wants to comeback and give it one more try but probably not before April because of her "Fersensporn".

Anca Barna...does what she can. With a good draw, she can reach Quaters and Semis at Tier III or Tier IV Tournaments. But when I´m honest...I don´t think of her as an Top 50 player. A spot between 50 - 75 is well served for her.

Marlene Weingärtner...Well, she is more consitent than in the past. She´s beating now players, which she must beat. I think, when she stay injuryfree, she can earn a fix spot in the top 40 - top 50.

Anna-Lena Grönefeld...Personaly, I think she´s a little bit overhyped by the media. But I hope, Anna-Lena can convince me, that I´m wrong at this point.

Roesch and Arn is a goner. I don´t belive, that they are able to come back.
Both players are ranked now in the 300 aera. Arn hadn´t played since ages and Roesch loses even at challengers in the first round mostly.

i´m a bit worried about Barna´s schedule this year
why isn´t she playing Hyderabad? she would be seeded there
but she is playing Antwerp and lost to Safina in 1st round

Playing Paris and then Hyderabad would bring lots of jet lack with it...so I think it was better to play Antwerp...but she still lost...
