Great to see Lucie win 4 matches in a row like that.

Sabine Lisicki, Maria Sharapova, Elena Dementieva,

Victoria Azarenka, Dinara Safina, Maria Kirilenko

Nadia Petrova, Samantha Stosur, Ana Ivanovic.

Well a GB player cheering thread for a WTA tour main draw event - that's a novelty. Good to see Lucie doing well and good luck against Conchita! She's had 4 pretty good wins in Doha already:

Petra Mandula 4-6 6-3 6-2
Olga Blahotova 5-7 6-3 6-1
Anna Zaporozhanova 6-1 6-3
Martina Muller 7-6 4-6 6-3

It's been a good week already for her - hope it continues.

That's surely not true - Louise Latimer in Oz Open and Julie Pullen at Strasbourg 2002 spring to mind. They're not that bad...

But well done Lucy - follow in footsteps of Sam Smith and beat Conchita! YAY!

Lucie also qualified for Bol in 1999, eventually losing to Martinez-Gradanos 75 60.

Louise Latimer also qualified for a couple of non-Brit WTA events in 2000.
