Has Mary Pierce withdrawn?

Now I don't know for sure, but I was just looking at the odds for tomorrows match and it has this:

STEVENSON, Alexandra (USA) 1.20 KURHAJCOVA, Lubomira (SVK)4.20

Now this wouldn't be the case if she was playing???

Damn, there is always one injury or another plaguing Mary

Just think of it this way m_pierce fan- better here than the Aus Open.

So it seems a betting site is more informative that the wtatour.com

Poor Mary

France's Mary Pierce has withdrawn from the Sydney International event because of injury, just a week before the start of the Australian Open in Melbourne.

The world number 52, a former Australian and French Open champion, is suffering from an abdominal strain.

Czech Lubomira Kurhajcova will take Pierce's place in Tuesday's first round match against American Alexandra Stevenson.

Good luck to my favs

What's the deal with Mary & Lubo?

The Slovakian replaced Mary as a LL in both singles & doubles

As much as i love Mary, I wish she'd hang it up...this is just too much....shes never gonna get past the injuries if she keeps stepping on the court in the shape she's in...she needs to do a lot more OFF the court before going out there. Frankly though i dont know how she keeps hurting herself when shes never playing? is she really practising THAT hard that its injury after injury? Dont count on seeing Mary at the Aussie open...shes never been one of the gutiest players out there...
