The team is as follows:

Players
1. Anastasia Myskina

The official nominations for all four teams competing in the semifinals will be confirmed here on Monday www.fedcup.com . Then, under Fed Cup Rules, up to two team nominations may be changed up to one hour before the draw.

New line-up for France
Mary Pierce will replace the injured Nathalie Dechy in the line-up for France's Semifinal clash with Russia in Moscow on 19/20 November. Other members of the team nominated by the Federation Francaise de Tennis are as follows:

With Mary and Amelie vs Elena and Myskina, it is a very high quality matchup, with Russia definitely favoured to win.

Amelie will be a tough cookie, so the Russina's will need to be ready.

Mary's power will help indoors but her speed may let her down IMO.

Russia to take the tie 4-1

Who will play for France in doubles? Normally, it would be Dechy & Loit wouldn't it? Amelie hardly ever plays doubles, so I presume it's going to be Loit & Pierce.

Mary was in the team that won the Fed Cup in 1997.

That's a bunch of bull. According to her journal on her official website, dated November 16th, she's ready to play.

OK....just babelfished the article. I think they misunderstood some of Amélie's comments. She and Forget expressed their, um, "disappointment" that Moscow was chosen for the finals. But nowhere did she say that she's refusing to play.

AMÉLIE ALWAYS
