There will be two pools of nations in the Group 1. One pool of 6 teams and another one of 5 teams.

I believe that the seeding of the team is based on the top 2 players best singles rankings.

So Japan will be seeded #1 and Indonesia #2. They should therefore be in two different pools.

The top two nations will proceed to the World Group Play-Offs in 2003

Btw, I vote for Japan.

I hope the two winners will be among Japan, Indonesia, or China.

Japan, Indonesia, Thailand and possibly Uzbekistan (don't forget to count iroda in!) are the strongest teams.... i see that they will all get to the semis...

korea is practically nothing... they have young and unknown players

Indonesia and Japan have the same chance to win this qualification.
They deserve to promote to world's qualification team.

But Why doesn't Cho join Korea's team??
It is suprising me, doesn't it mean she can't play in Olympiad???

Whitout her, Korea doesn't have any chance to promote.

Go Indonesia

Thailand for sure!!
THA def UZB 2-1 (Iroda lost to Tammy!!)
THA def MAS 3-0
THA def INA 2-0 Viratprasert def Wynne, Tammy also def Widjaja (I don't know scores in double)

So, I definitely think that THAILAND will be in the last 2 this time, I mean, in Final!!
