One thing Simona is great these days is , if she gets in the final , she comes really mental strong - game wise - fitness ( no matter if something bothers her , she will go there for the kill, she will fight with all she has to get that title. - remember Doha in semi`s and final with her achilles )
Hmm , dunno , maybe i`m underestimating Aga, but i don`t see her passing Maria. ( How weird is that to see how predictable sometimes a match is when it not involves your fav )
I dunno but i got a feeling with Maria. I think is better if Simona play Maria rather than Aga. Aga is really unpredictable vs Simona. Maria, hmm , for Simona could be a real preparation Boom Boom - Ana - Kvitova and Maria in the final. She could be really prepared for Maria.
In the last month I followed a lot of tennis and nothing impressed/surprised me more than Lisicki's serve in the matches with Begu and Simona! How can you return and play with her when she is serving like that (I even saw a serve of 197 km/h, wtf
) She will be a monster at Wimbledon with that serve and with a little strategy! Simona stated in an interview that Sabine's serve broked her rhythm (and those dropshots as well)
So compared with Ana's serve (a relatively good one, but much slower) I think Simona's returns were piece of cake, after she had to endure a day before (she probably saw the ball coming in slow motion when Ana served
So that counted very very much if you ask me!
Let's hope she is in her best form today, but what a difficult match she will have with Petra
