It's usually pleasing when you has the same number of winners of those heavy hitters

Re: Simona Halep Cheering thread - volume 2

Lisicki played very well for a set and a half but Simona was very average. I'm so glad Simona finished it in style playing beautiful tennis for the last 3 or 4 games (but I wonder why it took so long to see it ) The last 3 or 4 games finally gave me hope that she can be competitive tomorrow. Until that point I was envisaging an embarrassing 6-1 6-1 crushing against the current Ivanovic.

Re: Simona Halep Cheering thread - volume 2

Well.. Now Ana is not that Ana from previous years. It's a top-player again. Will be very tough. But Simona already made her goal-minimum here - QF

Re: Simona Halep Cheering thread - volume 2

So happy that she won, but bad display! ( of course because of Lisicki too, who was good for a set and a half)
I'm so mad when she transforms in a bomb and start to not give a f..k for a game or 2!

Re: Simona Halep Cheering thread - volume 2

Simona played a good game. That's just how it is with powerful hitters, sometimes there's just very little you can do... you just have to stay with them, lengthen the rallies and eventually you will get your chance. Maintaining a level of play like Lisicki's first set and a half almost never happens and once Simona takes control, it's all over

Re: Simona Halep Cheering thread - volume 2

I don't know but i have a feeling that Simona's fans are the most objective fans ever when i read their posts in GM.. maybe more objective than necessary
More credit to our girl is not bad
She played against a player who plays her best match since ever ... She lost the first set with one break and it was very close .. After that she was able to win the 2 last sets with better scoreline .. with 2 breaks up in each set .. She had the same number of winners and aces as this more powerful girl and Bine was literally pushing at the end of the match.. It's not like she only won because her opponent dropped as i had an impression when reading some comments ..
maybe i'm very sensitive or fanatic person or something but i think we should give Simona more credit especially when fighting and facing tough conditions

Re: Simona Halep Cheering thread - volume 2

Mido , for me Simona finally enter her top form in 3rd set at 4-2 for Simona. For me that was the moment i knew she can`t lose this.

It`s true the fact that Sabine drop her level , and gave Simona confidence that she needed , and finally , she started making those shots to finish her in style. Until then , for me it was quite a scary match , because i almost see a volatile Simona verry angry on some parts.

She did what she could considering that she was far from her form in the first set ( she seem to me kinda scary of those big serve , i was even more lol before the game started ) )

Anyway is just an oppinion , everyone lives a game at different intensity .

I don't mind Simona is not at her best in this moment . THe most important tournaments are ROme and RG , this is a good training.
