Re: Simona Halep (România)

Amazing coolness and ball control for Simo !
If she can keep this level she can easily get to top 30, even 20

It was a long time since I was so enchanted by a tennis match

Good job, Simo!

Re: Simona Halep (România)

Dropping Tomai was indeed the best thing she could do. She was looking hopeless at the start of the year, but she is right now playing some of the best tennis in her career.

Simona has a very bright future ahead, anyway. We have a lot of young players now coming up, but none of them is a real claycourt specialist. Simona on the other hand might become a threat for the big titles on clay in a couple of years should she keep this level up and progress further.

On top of that, I can see her doing well at Wimbledon already. Her serve is amazing for someone of her height. I hope she can adapt to the grass quickly now and I'm excited to see her in Wimbledon.

I agree on everything said above and about the bold part I guess it's all about confidence for her (same as for Monica) on grass and she should have plenty after her first title now let's hope for the best, but I can't wait to see her there

may your choices reflect your hopes not your fears.

Re: Simona Halep (România)

Amazing performance Saw only the last game, I really don't understand why Eurosport preffered to broadcast a replay of an yesterday mens match (I know they had scheduled the semis, but since there was suspended play, they could have switched to Nurnberg) or a Semifinal in Birmigham

Anyway, happy to see Simona in such a great shape and of course, happy to see again Andrea playing good tennis

Re: Simona Halep (România)

What I liked most was her composure throughout the game.
Besides that last game where she was a bit afraid of winning.

She saved 2 times bps from 15-40 and the next game (both times if I remember correct) she got the break from Petkovic.
Like some of you already said I am looking forward for Wimbledon too.
