Molik blitzing up 6-4 ovr Hantuchova, the stats

Molik had 9 break points only converted one of them.

Molik has lost 5 points on serve in the first set. She's been serving in the 170's

She has completely dominated the first set, would have been 6-1 or 6-2 had she converted more break points.

Hope the 2nd set continues the same!!!

Go Aussie

Very very well done Alicia

Do you have coverage AUSBOY?? How were both girls playing? Were Lleyton and/or Kim watching?

I watched the whole match angele87.

Molik played incredible, her groundstrokes were consistant, aggressive at the right time, she mixed it up quite a bit, she didnt come to the net much.

Her service was a huge factor, she served impeccably. Mixing up with kick serves, power serves. She was soo confident on serve, only 1 double for the match. She was even serving 2nd serves over 150km!

Hantuchova didnt play her best but this was largely to the fact that Alicia gave her no chance to find her rhythm as Alicia was serving too well, Daniela was struggling to get racquet onto her serves let alone have a chance to return them.

The only chance Daniela had to rally was in her service games. She was comin to the net a bit too often I thought and really wasnt volleying that great.

Alicia though was running absolutely everything down, she did some amazing scrambling, even the comentators were saying how her speed has improved.

Definitely one of Alicia's best performances. Played like a top 15 player!

Congrats to her and her fans

A big congrats to Alica! Go the Ausssssiesss!!!

I'm spewing I missed the match! , A bit of a more Aussie orientated question, but for those who have fox sports, you know how they show replays/live when there is live to show ... tonight they have coverage, does anyone know if that'll mean singles? I hope so, some VCR setting might be in order then

Go Jenn Go Alicia - and Go the Aussies

Awesome Aussie Alicia - Go you good thing!

Loses against Bedanova and now against molik!

Yep.... Bedanova gave her a 101 in the art of serve/volley... and Molik showed her what big serving (crankin' in the second serve even) is really about.

Hant2coco got schooled.
