Another good fight from Shishkina, i think she will get really good results next year.

And what i say about Indy is true to Brooke too. Austin used to be the best american when they were U14

On Saturday during the qualifying rounds, Plantation police were called to the site to investigate whether a father had whacked his daughter on the head with a racket after she lost a match. According to the police report, the player who won the match heard her opponent cry out, and when she turned around, the girl was holding her head with a bleeding laceration over her left eye. The father was walking way holding a racket.

He denied hitting her, and suggested she was hurt by falling or running into a post. The girl said she did not know how she got hurt. None of the eyewitnesses actually saw the father hit the girl, so no charges were filed and the man and his daughter walked away, on to the next tournament, where the same thing might happen again.

Top half is so much tougher than the bottom half... keep it going Taylor, it's gonna get harder from here!

Serena Williams ~ Maria Sharapova ~ Venus Williams ~ Jelena Dokic ~ Melanie Oudin ~ Christina McHale

Vandeweghe ~ Mattek-Sands ~ King ~ Hampton ~ Riske ~ Glatch ~ Brengle ~ Rogers ~ Stephens ~ Boserup ~ Davis ~ Keys ~ Lepchenko ~ Falconi ~ Chirico ~ Crawford ~ Gibbs ~ Pegula ~ Min ~ Townsend ~ Duval ~ Vickery ~ Bellis ~ Ahn

Re: Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship, USA, GA

Also for those making comments regarding Austin, while I thought she'd win that particular match, I didn't see her going far here. Her game is not suited for clay.

Re: Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship, USA, GA

Brooke is still a threat. Yes now her class' no.1 is Townsend, but she did beat Kiick in 3 at EB and
lost to Taylor in 3. Was competitive against Bencic at ISC too(has Bencic got loads better than Spring? She lost to Kiick at ISC, I saw that match)
Also lost to Duval in the semi of the National, and in 3-4th place to Scholl, both in 3 I think.
(retired against Scholl later)
