Jelena Jankovic : US Open finalist 2008 and World No. 1

Jennifer Capriati : 3 Grand Slams, Olympic Gold and World No.1

Wow, impressive.

How tall is Su Wei, she doesnt look as short as I thought she was?

CONGRATS!

Good for her to keep playing Juniors even though her senior ranking is good enuf to play WTA events.

Shocked at Sharapova! I can't believe she lost! And apparently gave up in the second set. What's going on, Eggy? Three 18u finals this year. And she gets whipped in all 3 finals. And in all 3 finals there was a set where Maria wasn't even competitive. This is a concern. I hope she's not going to be like the other Russian girls.

Maria did win the Target Cup in Miami. But that was an exhibition event. She did beat Gisele Dulko in the final. That was a good win. But it doesn't really count. And Maria nearly gave the match away.

Maria, I think, was 2-0 agaist Su Wei. So I was expecting a win for Maria. I guess she has a long way to go. But I'm still hoping she'll be different and better than the other Russian girls.

Eggy, has the WTA Russian curse seeped into the junior ranks? The Russian junior girls lose finals all over the place. Just like their WTA comrades.

BK, Maria is listed as being 5'9" tall. Su Wei only looks like she's about 3 inches shorter than Maria. So Su Wei must be taller than she is listed as. And that's good news for Su Wei.

Congrats to Su Wei on a fine win!

CONGRATS SU-WEI!

Yes, Su-Wei is double-handed off both sides - bloody hard hitting as well. Its weird - i am twice her size, i play a lot of tennis, i really try to belt the ball and she hits 10 times hader then i do!
