I don't think you're surprised, I used to live in Germany. Exactly in NRW around 30 km from Aachen (2nd German fav. team) and 50 km of Cologne/M'Gladbach. I've 2 on FB from this period, one big Cologne fan, the other a big Gladbach fan. Thank god I never supported Cologne/Gladbach.
As well I like Deep Purple too.

Hi Karl!

Are you a belgian who used to live in Germany or are you a german who is now living in Belgium? I am asking because i read some of your posts in the Laberthread and your written german is just perfect.

Yes, Deep Purple is great but i am missing Richie Blackmore even if Steve Morse is a very good guitarist as well.

Not easy to answer from the curr. players. After a long thought Schweini, cause of commitment/longest serving Bayern first team regular/is Bavarian. My all time fav. are Beckenbauer/Breitner/Kahn/Maier/Müller/Effenberg/Rummenigge/Hoeness and I may have left out someone. Not an easy choice.

Fav. in women's tennis is Sharapova. Julia Görges comes second. I'm off now

Many clubs from abroad wanted to sign Schweinsteiger, but he stayed loyal to his club. Additionally he surely is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world and i also think that he is a good guy. But my favorite player from Bayern clearly is Thomas Müller. Even though i am not a fan of Bayern he is one of the german players who i like the most (alongside with Reus, Gündogan and Hummels). Maybe he is not the most elegant footballer but he is full of passion for the game and also very dangerous in front of the goal. His court-vision and his ability to read the game are also well-developped for a young player like him. It was really astonishing how he became the world cup's top scorer in 2010 at the age of 20. In my opinion he is one of the most important players for Bayern.

How much do you like Kim and Justine? It was quite remarkable that Belgium brought out two legends of the game at the same time.

My first fav in women's tennis is Mona. I really love her game even if she drives me nuts sometimes. My second favs are Petra Martic , Petra Kvitova and Li Na in no particular order.

I haven't seen much of Muller since WC 2010 tbh. He impressed me at WC but now I feel he is not really that special. I mean he is no Lewandowski. That's for sure.

Müller is a midfielder (right or central) so you can't really compare him to Lewandowski. As i said he may not be the most elegant footballer but he is a team player and one of the greatest competitors i have ever seen in football. He was one of the few players who didn't choke in last years' CL final.

Lewandowski is phenomenal right now but he won't be the same anymore if he leaves Dortmund. He was widely regarded as quite average two years ago when Barrios was the first striker. Jürgen Klopp patiently build up his qualities and integrated him into his tactical system. So we will see how he will perform at Bayern, Madrid or ManU. The other key players who left BVB in the past like Sahin and Kagawa haven't been that successful at their new clubs so that Sahin already returned to Dortmund and maybe one day Kagawa will follow him.

Did he play as midfielder in WC? I thought he was a SS.

So we should compare him to Reus then. Reus is better than him for sure (don't tell me you disagree).

He played as a right attacking midfielder at the world cup 2010. But he can also play on the left and in the middle. As he has a good nose for the goal i would nominate him as center-forward.

Lewandowski is quite talented imo. His 3rd goal vs Madrid in the 1st leg shows how much skill he has. He was off in the 2nd leg though (should have scored 1 goal at least).

Yes, Reus is a better footballer IMO but Müller, with his special qualities, is as important as him for the german national team.

From an individual perspective, i would regard Reus as one of the best footballers in the world. So i do agree with you.

Mmmmmm he is probably more comparable to Gotze. I'm not sure.
