Good news. I just feel that he is the perfect coach for her so I really hope he keeps coaching Mona for most of her career. I mean he never met Mona before Paris yet the ONLY week he coached Mona was the best week in Mona's career so far. How many times you see that happen in tennis? Very rarely for sure. That alone should convince Mona to keep working with him.

Not only that he looks like Jesus, he also seems to have his healing hands.

Szygowski should travel with her. Seems he really helps Mona growing her skills. Is today IW draw, right?

Annika and Björn Phau are training at the Orlik Tennis Academy, right is Robert Orlik.

That should be Mona's team in Indian Wells and Miami.

Re: Mona Barthel News & Opinion

It could tell something about their not yet very close relation that Mona is not yet on that pic/ in Indian Wells.

That pic was taken a few days ago and i am suspecting that Mona still was in germany at that day. The fact that she published the cooperation with Team Orlik on her website indicates that she takes it more seriously than i had expected.

I have to say I expected that she would take it a little more serious. It looks to me that she still is very careful in this matter and the insight that she needs somebody else. We`ll see how it develops.

She seems to be looking for a coach who really suits her and is able to improve her game. If being careful about this matter means that she won't hire some random coach i am fine with it. I expect and hope that Mona will be testing this cooperation for the rest of the year and then we'll see how she decides on this issue. All in all i have the feeling that she matches very well with Orlik, Szygowski and also with Annika as her potential training partner.

Mona's new report from her website:

Quote:
4.3.: Now I am here for 4 days in Indian Wells. I like the landscape very much. I had a lot of practice here.
