Re: Kurumi Nara - Japan's New Star

It seems that ever since her injury last summer, Kurumi has had trouble getting back on track. She was playing so well before it happened. Let's hope she can start to pick up some wins soon.

I think she should go back to playing some challengers again. Get some momentum going. Every opponent in qualifying looks like a tough draw for her right now.

Re: Kurumi Nara - Japan's New Star

she lost 3/6 7/6 6/2 against Dokic
But she plays really well during 2 sets, a amazing defense, some amazing shots, ... But still a weak serve and no variety .. Close to the win today, she will have good results soon

She played really good, dropped off in the third. Hopefully she gets some confidence from this week

Re: Kurumi Nara - Japan's New Star

Kurumi. She has so much to be proud of.

Her coach said it is the closest match he has seen her play but that she played too passively on the important points. He sounded very negative.

Let's hope Kurumi can take the many positives from this match and come back confident in her next tournament.

Re: Kurumi Nara - Japan's New Star

Roland Garros
Erakovic def. Nara 6-0 6-0

Really sad. A year ago she qualified for the main draw, beating Niculescu in an epic over 4 hours. So many problems since then. Kurumi is still young, so at least has a chance to overcome them.
