Tomoko Yonemura

She qualified for Bali:

Q1:Yonemura d. Sobral(8) 6:3,6:4
FQ:Yonemura d. Fuda(3) 6:3,7:6(1)

I think she is a bit too old(23) to start a good career

Rest in Peace Bally!

She's only 23? I thought she was older than that! Oh cool! She's not too old! Late bloomer! I always thought she had a nice game, great to see her qualify for Bali! Solid wins!

Go Ai, Venus, Na, Tamarine!

I don't think 23 is old at all. We're talking about Asian players remember? Most of them are late bloomers. Well done Tomoko.

She has nice solid groundstrokes...she's a pretty good athlete....taller than many Japanese.....she has a very good backhand, pretty good forehand and a decent sertve. She's solid.

Go Ai, Venus, Na, Tamarine!

She is besides a nice person, very accessible and extremely pleasant.

If you take some pic of her in a tournament, do send it to her webmaster.

Her official website is :

$25K Ibaraki next week and then probably Japan Open qualies.

I really think her scheduling overall needs to improve. She could be ranked so much higher with better scheduling IMO.
