Re: Heather Watson

Awesome, there is a stream for Laura and Heathers double match tommorow, which should be a good watch!

Heather is up to British number 10 now, one spot behind Laura who should hopefully get to join her if she can beat Fedak, who has won 1 match since the Aussie and that was a tough 3 setter vs a player ourside of the top 300 Go Brits

Re: Heather Watson

Heather and Laura have won the first set in their doubles 6-4. Let's hope they can finish it off.

Heather and Laura got killed in the dubs QF. Heather lost in straights to Rodina in the 2nd round.

Re: Heather Watson

Heather has drawn Edina Gallovits as her 1st round opponent at Indian Harbour

You know these tough draws, like at Charleston, are not necessarily a bad thing, long term, (in my opinion)

Re: Heather Watson

Heather has gotten bad draws all year. Probably going to draw a Williams sister at Wimbledon. Oh well, she's on the right track so you never know!

Re: Heather Watson

Do you reckon there will be Live Scores on Bet365 for this match?. Their website seems to imply there will be but so far I've not caught any other Indian Harbours' scores on there nor are any mentioned on the main thread.

Re: Heather Watson

Heather lost in straight.....a little more experince and confidence and she will be on the road for inside the top 300.

Re: Heather Watson

Delhi team is biggest yet

Peter Sirett

GUERNSEY will have its biggest team at a Commonwealth Games when it touches down in Delhi this October.

The 45-strong team surpasses the 42 in Melbourne in 2006 and they include tennis starlet Heather Watson, track and field stars Dale Garland and Lee Merrien, and bowler Alison Merrien.

Re: Heather Watson

Heather just tweeted 'going to Birmingham tomorrow' - so that must mean Aegon Classic wild card? Wonderful, may even get to see her play yet

Yeah. It's great to know that she already knows how to move well on grass as a lot of players struggle to move as well on it, but her defense and anticipation are already world class. She still has a lot of improving/maturing to do but she's coming along nicely. She needs to get to the net more and add more variety to her game because she has all the shots, but she's doing well so far. Gamewise i'd liken her game mostly to Kirilenko, but she's much quicker. Hopefully she can get a good draw and a win at Wimbledon. Her MDWC was confirmed yesterday.
