Collected 285 points from 3 tournaments - average of nearly 90 per tournament. If she played 20 tournaments per year, and got 90 points per week = 1,800 points, world ranking number 26 on the current list.
On the actual WTA list, she should be around 72 in the world. She has no need to play another ITF, unless she wants to, for some time. She is near certain to make the US Open MD cut-off.
On the "Road to Singapore" list, which is a better guide to current form...
...she went to Paris as WR 54, and will be about 45 when it updates - and this while demoted to the ITF, with a 2 month injury write-off, and drawing Radwanska and Halep very early in critical tournaments.
Her forehand would probably have less arm in it if her ankle weren't sprained. The new tactics are great. She just needs to get better at judging when to throw in the really agressive shots.
When Heather was diagnosed with the glandular fever, she was about 20 places above Halep in the rankings; and looking more likely to make that critical breakthrough into the top 32. Hopefully, it won't be too long before Heather is ahead again.
