Ivanovic is a FO champion, capable of making far more accomplished players than Laura look like cows on ice.

At least, she used to be...

Somewhere between being stunned at beating Kim, and being stunned at how ugly her match against Petra was.

Maria could make herself look like a cow on ice after winning a match 2 and 1. Laura might look like a cow on ice, or possibly a turtle on glue but I don't think it'll be a one sided affair, it should be close. It could be awesome, or it could be hideous but I don't see it being one sided.

If nothing else, it should be entertaining. Laura doesn't do dull matches.

Short answer: yes. If Laura beats Ana, she's likely seeded for the French. Good runs at the tournaments between now and Wimbles should see her seeded.

She's been hitting with Rafa

I hope some of his exp on clay has rubbed off on her.

Yes, even winning 3-4 matches should be enough for a Wimbledon seed

^^Don't think she was hitting with Rafa, she was practising on the court next to him, according to her instagram.

So fucking painful, so many chances. She was on her way to winning. Choke.

Oh well, good week.

It's gonna take me ages to get over this! I'm literally fuming right now.

Oh god....5-2..........ergh. We really should have called this forum Robson's Rollercoaster....

Some really good tennis from both women (if you ignore the serve), great quality and if only Laura could keep that level up then she's on the right path.

Will need to win 2 matches at Rome to get RG seeding now...very tough with that field.

Look at it this way, Laura was in a position to throw the match away. Two weeks ago, would you have seen that coming? No, because she wouldn't have gotten to the third round. This shit was ugly, she lost, but fuck it! I enjoyed the match and she's improved enough to make me think that I might get to keep my name in November.

Two matches in Rome's doable, I think. Depends on her draw though.
