Re: Laura Robson: The Silver Medal Years 2012-

That sounds a lot more sensible
I normally don't know or care much about these stuff, but I think she might just go for a bigger deal.

So that is probably where that figure comes from!

Interestingly also mentions her deal with her agency Octagon ends in 2 months and there's obviously lots of competition for her signature. Wonder if she will stay or go for (potentially) bigger bucks? What do people think?
I'd want her to join with a bigger agency. Like IMG/19 mangement.

The bigger the better imo.

Re: Laura Robson: The Silver Medal Years 2012-

Nadia Petrova [10] - Bye
Petra Martic - Qualifier
Laura Robson - Sofia Arvidsson
Julia Goerges[21] - Bye

Elena Vesnina [29] - Bye
Kimiko Date-Krumm - Galina Voskoboeva
Alize Cornet - Qualifier
Caroline Wozniacki [8] - Bye

Laura's draw. Actually a very decent R1. But all depends if she has rediscovered any form obviously.

Re: Laura Robson: The Silver Medal Years 2012-

That's not a bad draw as JuGs is the kind of player Laura can do well against too. Lets hope she can get a couple of wins here.

Strycova ~ Robson ~ Watson ~ Konta ~ Shvedova

Petkovic ~ Parmentier ~ Swan ~ Errani ~ Vekic ~ Pavlyuchenkova ~ Halep ~ Galfi ~ Riske

Bigger agency.

When you look at it 20 millions over her career in endorsement money is not a lot if she becomes a permanent top 20 player .

Re: Laura Robson: The Silver Medal Years 2012-

A set and 4-2 up then lost 7-6 6-1. From then on, less than 50% first serve in and hardly any at all from the deuce court. Is it mental or something wrong with the set up? More of a capitulation than a defeat. At least now Laura has 2 weeks to practice getting the ball in court when serving. If you can't serve in court, you can't play tennis.

I don't think her coach will stick around long with that sort of performance. Maybe a good thing as Laura's serve seems worse than it was last summer - not much of a recommendation 6 months of his for coaching methods.

Re: Laura Robson: The Silver Medal Years 2012-

If Laura loses in the first round of Miami I'm going to go ahead and concede my bet to Blue early. No matter how good her season gets from here she has no business being in the top 30 after performances like that.

Re: Laura Robson: The Silver Medal Years 2012-

well she does have the potential to be good, she was doing fine in that match to start with and if she'd kept it up for a couple of more games it would ahve been an easy victory for her, evidently something went horribly wrong though. I'm still hoping she can get back to the form she was in a few months ago.

Re: Laura Robson: The Silver Medal Years 2012-

RIDICULOUS loss, yet again. Laura is becoming extremely frustrating. She completely dominates the first set, has a LEAD in the second and loses it. Then gets dominated in the 3rd without any FIGHT at all.

I was really expecting a win here, she seemed so confident coming into Indian Wells. That's 3 first round losses now since AO. 6 losses and 3 wins for the year. Her time in the Top 50 will be coming to an end very soon of she doesn't get her head together. This was a massive opportunity to pick up some valuable points and she just wasted it. A lot of girls ranked below her, are step by step gathering up points and they'll be overtaking her very soon. I said I was going to be pessimistc and not expect anything from her but I know how happy she said she was with her game and practice was going so well, so I thought to give her the benefit of the doubt. With inconsistentRobson it's proven you should never do that.

I'm not even going into Genreal Messages, all I'm going to read is "HYPSON" "Overhyped" "Useless" "Scrub".
If she keeps playing like she does, she's going to deserve one of those titles.

Anyone who has been visiting GM tell me if her result thread is still on the first page. So I know its safe to go on there.
Please.

If Laura's top thirty at the end of the end of the season Blue changes his name to RobsonIsGOAT. If not (or she loses in the first round of Miami) I change my name to OverhypedRobSUCK.

It's not just there, it's still at the top of the pile I seriously don't understand posters on this board. Why keep returning to a thread about a player you hate a whole day after the result and contribute nothing that already hasn't been said hundreds of times?

Kuznetsova

... for some reason.
