Re: Sloane Stephens

Can I get a "come-on" (to go up ad) the point before going up 6-5?

Re: Sloane Stephens

Messy from what I saw, but she got the job done. Now beat Vesnina and make your first final.

Re: Sloane Stephens

Well done Sloane. She showed a lot of mental toughness out there not letting all the breaks get to her and fighting till the end. Good luck in the semis Sloane.

Re: Sloane Stephens

I meant to ask this last week. Did any of you notice Jack Sock sitting in Sloane's player box (behind her mom) during her match against Serena last week?

I've only seen Lauren play these last couple of matches and I am way surprised how well she played. She was totally hitting alot of winners, painting those lines, crazy angles...most of all, she was tough mentally getting a big serve when she needed but Sloane stepped up when she needed to and used her power to control the big points.

Yes. They share a coach, so I wouldn't be surprised if they happen to be dating too.

She mentioned something about a boyfriend in her oncourt interview after the match today also. I'll have to relisten to it, but I think she was talking about visiting a romantic park in Hobart the other day and said that she'll "have to bring my boyfriend here with me next time."

Oh I didn't know that, thanks for the information.

Yeah I heard her say that too, that's what reminded me about his being there last week. I actually did a little research about it a few days ago and I'm not sure if they are or not. They have definitely been flirty on Twitter, but Jack has/had(?) a girlfriend that plays Division 1 Volleyball at the University of Nebraska (a volleyball powerhouse school ) and they have been dating since they were in HS. I do wonder though.

Flirty tweets.

Interesting. I would love to see how the tennis world would handle that potential romance.
