Yes, and it's got a bunch of HarTru clay courts, which is why I figured, though there's a similar setup down in Port St. Lucie and that ITF is held at Tesoro Club. I think a lot of it has to do with sponsorship, and if a private club can foot a significant part of the cost, the tournament is more likely to be held there. So it might be at some private club, I dunno.

Florida Tennis Center looks like it would be easy to get to though.

I was really surprised to see the 75K + H in Sharm El Sheikh No real advantage for them
I have heard rumours that they are putting bigger tournaments in Antalya because there was anger inside the Turkish Tennis Federation and because their normally ridiculously big entry lists are constantly getting smaller

Re: 2014 ITF Calendar

Entry lists are getting smaller because some players are idiots; I have been there with few players and its really a nice place, its 50$ for one day, all covered up with tennis court available for practice anytime, 30$ day if you dont want to practice ( which is not really an option ) bad thing is only that annoying wind every single day; cant believe that players were complaining that they had to spend their whole time there in one hotel ( ??! )

Apart from the wind, the problem is staying in a beach resort off season can be boring as hell, especially for the big majority of players who are eliminated in qualies or first rounds (in the end, from +50 players in the draws only 2-4 of them are playing until the finals day) so what do you do stranded in the middle of nowhere away from the tourist season in a place with only hotels and tacky restaurants most of them closed? It would not be a problem if you go there for a week but you don't go to Sharm for just one week but rather stay for several weeks and I can understand them...look at those pictures from Lanzarote. They are isolated in that resort for weeks; yes, they are playing tennis but can you imagine being trapped in a place like these for weeks in the company of old retired people who travel off season too and having nothing to do apart from tennis?

Re: 2014 ITF Calendar

You are right, but you have to think that any player who takes his or her career seriously, wouldnt really need Disneyland to be amused .. you have Prokuplje or Sokobanja in which every aspect is horrible; and yet players deal with that .. Of course if someone wants to have fun its not the most popular place; but for someone who takes everything about tennis seriously there is nothing wrong about Turkey

First, Sharm is in Egypt, not Turkey. Second, never been to Prokuplje or Sokobanja but even if it is as bad as you say players stay there until they get eliminated (2-3-4 days...) and move to the next tournament. The thing with Sharm is they stay in that place for weeks at the same place and yes, it gets boring for them. Of course they are there for their tennis, but that does not mean they have to say is fun or cannot complain.

Also, especially in Antalya, the courts are apparently horrible.
A few of the players who I know who have played there say they are genuinely terrible and that they wouldn't return and that the site only cares about money, not about the players at all...

The clay courts in Antalya are no good as far as what I've heard from several players
