Hingis Unseeded!!!

It looks likely that Hingis will be unseeded here for the time in about 7 years!!!!

She will be fighting for the 8 spot with Daniella (if everyone plays) - but if Daniella does ok in Leipzig she will go above Hingis pushing here down to 11 in the world and making her unseeded here.

Does anyone know who has the got the Filderstadt Wild-cards? Anna no doubt yet again....

It depends on Daniela's performance in Leipzig(QF last year) and Kim's performance in Tokyo(SF last year) and Leipzig(WON last year).

Daniela had 130 pts to defend. Kim had 416 pts to defend.

Currently Kim has 2730 pts, Martina has 2514 pts, and Daniela has 2484.75 pts.

it would be funny for a 4-time winner of a tournament to be unseeded lol

it will be a very interesting battle for the seeds from 6-8. The points from moscow will not count yet for the draw, so that leaves kim, davenport, hantu and hingis. When you subtract the points from last year : davenport 2680
hingis 2514

hantuchova: 2355
kim: 2320

but, kim plays 2 tournaments tokyo and leipzig, daniela one and davenport and hingis none. So it will be very interesting to see how they play. I think the battle for the places 4-8 will be very interesting for the rest of the year.

I think it'll go up and down other than 1,2 and 3 all the rankings are up for grabs

4. Jelena Dokic- will collapse/a lot of pts to defend
5. Moncia Seles- Not playing again till La, 200 some pts to defend
6. Justine Henin- Shaky
7. Amelie Mauresmo- Becomes #6 tommorow, will likely finish 4th at the end of the year
8. Kim Clijsters- Might fall out of the top 10!
9. Lindsay Davenport- Might fall out of the top 10!
10. Martina Hingis- Might fall out of the top 10!

As for Kim, Lindsay and Martina I highly doubt all three will fall out of the top ten, the only person who is close enough in points and Daniela and maybe Chanda the way shes playing, also Myskina is playing well, but I doubt that all three will get in there

martina will probably stay in the top 10, she doesn't have many points to defend coz of her injury

davenport and dokic have about 1500 and 1000 points; their ranking will probably drop a lot if they don't play well.

i'm guessing lindsay will drop out of the top 10 by the end of the year, but she'll rebounnd next year as she can only gain point till after wimbledon

jelena doesn't deserve to be so high, so i hope she doesn't play well and fall down the rankings

When all is said and done, I think Martina will end up being seeded.

Hingis is playing Liepzig and Moscow before this.

martina isn't playing Leipzig Ryan - she wouldnt play in 4 events in a row - and needs the points from the Tier 1 events in Moscow and Zurich, plus she loves playing here (as most of the players do) in Filderstadt. Whether she is unseeded depends on how Daniella does in Leipzig (and I hope she wins) and Kim in Tokyo and Leipzig.
