I would like to know where you are hearing these "speculations" because I have no heard anything. Monica should not come back until the foot is not slowing her down.

Monica said earlier that the tier 3's she played last year "killed my ranking" so i doubt she'll be doing that again

Won't she have to replace those points?

No, she doesn't have to do anything.

Does she have to?
b. First Time Champions
First Time Champions are required to defend their titles at Tournaments won the year prior. This provision applies to all players, not only Gold Exempt Players. If a player is a First Time Champion at more than one event, she is only required to defend a maximum of two titles. Gold Exempt Players are not required to defend their Tier IV and V titles as part of their Minimum Commitment to the Tour.

Jarrett, your comment "she doesn't have to do anything" is not accurate...she IS going to lose points, and that WILL hurt her ranking.

Yes she is going to lose points. So? I think everyone know that.
