Re: Kaia Kanepi Cheering Thread!!!

Watched the match until 2-1 in the third. Can't believe Kaia lost it from there. A lot of breaks in the third set after that. Not sure what happened. Very strange. Great chance wasted

Good luck Kaia and Anett in 2014.
Also Wozniacki, Jankovic, Ivanovic, Stosur, Gajdosova and K-Kookie!!

Re: Kaia Kanepi Cheering Thread!!!

What happened is, Kaia started making a lot of errors. Cibulkova deserved some of them, but most were just it was totally on her racket. Kaia really did lose it this time.
(I watched it someone who was watching tennis like the first time in her life, and even she noticed how the points depended on Kanepi, but on the other hand she got kind of emotionally invested)

Anyway, I wish she could bring this form to the next season, and STAY HEALTHY.

25k in Helsinki seems to be sure, it's in order to 'so I wouldn't lose my touch'

Re: Kaia Kanepi Cheering Thread!!!

Kaia was the better player and lost

Can`t believe it. Am still pissed, Kaia defeated herself. Cibulkova is a wall, seemed to have more energy than Kaia. The matches against Schiavone and Safarova were tough, long and exhausting. I guess Kaia felt tired after the first set.

Kaia was amazing in first set Then in 2nd set she suddenly became passive and made way too many stupid UEs

Well, I will only remember the excellent tennis Kaia played in set 1. And pretend the rest never happened. Moscow was a very successful tournament for Kaia, her first Premier final

Serena: "We have great personalities like Jelena (Jankovic) on the tour."
Jelena: "If I had to pick someone after me, I'd pick Serena."

Good Luck

Re: Kaia Kanepi Cheering Thread!!!

Definitely thought she should have won that final. It was disappointing. Overconfidence maybe and then things began to go downhill with the errors. You can't expect to win with that many errors.

She is indoor hardcourt beast. She was up break point at 6-3 5-5 and had a smash which she missed by millimetres

I will plan to start my physical preparation soon and in the end of November I am planning to play a small ITF tournament in Helsinki, Finland. Many have asked why I am going to participate in such tournament and the answer stands clear- I need to play more competitive tennis cause otherwise pause from it would be too long for me. Nevertheless, this tournament is small but still there is competitive factor in it. Secondly, Helsinki is close to my home and it suits good in our preparation cycle. In the middle of December me and my coaches are leaving for Thailand for final preparation before leaving for Australian season. I will start my year in Brisbane, second tournament will be Sydney one and then Australian Open in Melbourne.

I feel that I have studied to feel joy with every cell of my body over every win I accomplish and get over of a loss quickly. This is an "art form" that I suggest to possess for all of us.

My team is building up and makes a big pow towards Tallink, my sponsor, whos CEO of the board continues to support us also next year.

With warm wishes,
Kaia

Re: Kaia Kanepi Cheering Thread!!!

Kaia has withdrawn from the semifinal match in Helsinki due to back injury

I hope her back will be fine for 2012. Kind of worrying as she had back pain in Moscow also.

She's scheduled to start the new season in Brisbane, followed by Sydney and then AO.
