Re: Kaia Kanepi Cheering Thread!!!

Looking at match stats, it's not as positive as the scoreline states. Kaia did win a lot more points, but her weakness is still serve. First serve percentage was 53%. Happy with the points won on the first serve, however second serve points. 43% (9/21) Not really positive.

This is what she had problems with in Tokyo already. She really needs to pick up that and quickly, because she can't give away easy points like that.

On Zheng's serve she did a lot of damage though, giving her only 43% on first and 43% on the second.

Lisicki however got off easy with Begu retiring after the first set. Sabine's stats were worse than Kaia's today though. Will see how those 2 get on on court.

Good luck Kaia and Anett in 2014.
Also Wozniacki, Jankovic, Ivanovic, Stosur, Gajdosova and K-Kookie!!

Re: Kaia Kanepi Cheering Thread!!!

The stats weren't terrific, I agree. It's another thing how it actually looked. (By the time I semi-found a working stream, the match was over).

Now the match against Lisicki. Come on!

Re: Kaia Kanepi Cheering Thread!!!

Lisicki has been hospitalized due to contaminated food

Hopefully she's ok, will see however if she makes it to the court at all.

Good luck Kaia and Anett in 2014.

Re: Kaia Kanepi Cheering Thread!!!

Lisicki gave Kaia a walkover. The food poisoning must've been really bad.

Now waiting for the winner of Wozniacki vs Gajdosova (deja vu).

Shame about Sabine. Would have loved to see that match.

Anyways, here's hoping for another quarterfinal then. Woz isn't going to give it to Kaia this time, she better work her ass off to win.

As for Sabine's food poisoning, not so sure about it now. Sabine has a gluten intolerance. She might have eaten something to upset her stomach. Gluten intolerance causes severe stomach cramps, abdominal pain and vomiting.

Good luck Kaia and Anett in 2014.

Re: Kaia Kanepi Cheering Thread!!!

Wozniacki it is then in R3.

Wozniacki won easily 62 63 over Gajdosova.

EDIT! - Easily might be a little light She had no issues with Jarka's serve, easily broken. She did get broken though in both sets herself though.

Good luck Kaia and Anett in 2014.

Re: Kaia Kanepi Cheering Thread!!!

Wozniacki

It's very tough to beat her 2 times in a row, so Kaia can't just sleep or whatever she does sometimes in the 1st set. Besides, she's having 3 days off, I'm not sure how good that is

Re: Kaia Kanepi Cheering Thread!!!

Goerges beat Wozniacki twice in a row. Wozniacki is play half agressive but only making more errors, not more winners. Kaia can do it only if she keeps her service percentages high and is patient as you guys said.
