Well Kaia destroyed Errani in Palermo 2010 during her run for the title there. Errani went down 2-6 2-6.

After that big events were 2011 Wimbledon where Errani won 6-1 6-4 and then Moscow 2011 where Kaia won 6-0 7-5.

Good luck Kaia and Anett in 2014.
Also Wozniacki, Jankovic, Ivanovic, Stosur, Gajdosova and K-Kookie!!

Re: Kaia Kanepi Cheering Thread!!!

Looks like Kaia still isn't in the form we wished she'd be

Match against Errani will show where is. At the moment I'm just not too optimistic about it

Re: Kaia Kanepi Cheering Thread!!!

Kaia won her first match at Stuttgart !

Actually at 28 yo this is first time ever in her career that Kaia plays Stuttgart

Bad scoreline. Way too close. Break Points Won: only 3 of 10 !

Serena: "We have great personalities like Jelena (Jankovic) on the tour."
Jelena: "If I had to pick someone after me, I'd pick Serena."

Good Luck
Serena Williams Maria Sharapova Jelena Jankovic
A. Radwanska V. Zvonareva C. Wozniacki N. Petrova M. Hingis
T. Paszek A. Chakvetadze K. Sprem J. Dokic I. Tulyaganova A. Myskina

Apparently Kaia played awful. I see no chance to beat Errani in this form

I was also surprised to read it's Kaia's first ever Stuttgart, but it's a given considering this is one of the hardest tournaments to get to and Kaia's ranking has not been good enough to enter MD.

Good luck Kaia and Anett in 2014.

Kaia's own words afte rthe match:

Quote:
“It was a tough match today. In overall it was an average match from my side but luckily at important moments I played well. She was also quite good, probably as she had not much to loose she played with no pressure and was occasionally hitting very well. It was a bit slippery at times and I could not get my feet moving but I will get more used to it when I play more on clay.”

Good luck Kaia and Anett in 2014.
Also Wozniacki, Jankovic, Ivanovic, Stosur, Gajdosova and K-Kookie!!

Re: Kaia Kanepi Cheering Thread!!!

I completely forgot about the match and by accident saw the last game. Not much can be said, a loss is a loss. She better find her feet fast on clay, she will need the good runs from now on.

Good luck Kaia and Anett in 2014.

Re: Kaia Kanepi Cheering Thread!!!

Kaia held serve just 2 times out of 9 I mean in the end the odds for her to hold serve were 2.08

See you next week in Oeiras. And it won't be easy there either.

When will she find some form again?

1450 points to defend in May-June, doesn't look too promising at the moment

Kaia’s own words:
Quote:
“The match was as it was today, occasionally it was good then again not that good. I missed many shots very close to the lines and this bothered me the most today.”

Next up will be Portugal Open, a WTA International event in Oeiras, which will start next week.

Good luck Kaia and Anett in 2014.
Also Wozniacki, Jankovic, Ivanovic, Stosur, Gajdosova and K-Kookie!!

At this rate she'd be barely into top 100

I hope next week in Portugal will be better.

Yesterday the match wasn't overly bad, but she needs to be more patient at times.
