This is Suzanne's only indoor event as an amateur. It also marks her only event in England other than Wimbledon. Notable also for her partnership in doubles with Chambers.

This was the only open British tournament Suzanne Lenglen ever appeared in besides Wimbledon. It also happened to be the only event she played in her amateur career indoors. She did not enter the singles event at Cromer.

National Rankings and Prominent Player lists

Top players per country based on performance in 1925 (alphabetical lists, with individual number one indicated or surmised where possible):

Australia*

Daphne Akhurst
Esna Boyd
Marjorie Cox

* It is difficult to pick a number one player here, but Esna Boyd might deserve the ranking most due to her success at home and abroad, although Daphne Akhurst won the Australasian Championships, beating Boyd in the final.

Maria Redlich

* Erna Redlich, sister of Maria, appears to have won the Austrian Championships in 1925.
