What a Week....

....for Maggie Maleeva. Takes out #2 Venus Williams; now #4 Amelie Mauresmo--two of the hottest players on tour behind Serena Williams.

I wonder if she can keep it up with Lindsay. Any one have H2H for Maleeva/Davenport?

yeah, but today was the first time she's beaten Amélie from four previous meetings. But from what I've seen of today's SFs.. I would have to tip the scales ever so slightly in Maggie's favour

Pretty crazy week, the lone seed left wasn't even sure if she was going to get in the tourney!

Good Luck Lindsay!

Yeah ... but that's deceiving. Maggie won that first match in 1993, where Lindsay was 17 or something, and she won the 2nd on a retirement. A win is a win and all, but I don't think Maggie's going to be taking the title tomorrow. I saw Davenport recovers from her ugly semifinal performance to ride Maggie out in straight sets.
