Re: **Jasmina Tinjic Chearing Thread**

^ (6)Jasmina Tinjic (CRO) d. Yulia Putintseva (RUS) 63 63

That's a good win for Jasmina. In the final QR, she plays the #4 seed, Madalina Gojnea. That one's going to be tough. Gojnea is #227, with a CH ranking of 177. She won a bunch of $10Ks earlier this year and, more recently, two $25Ks (July and September).

Good luck, Jasmina! If she loses, it's very possible there'll be a LL spot and she'll be well-placed to get it.

Re: **Jasmina Tinjic Chearing Thread**

Good to see a nice start for Jasmina after nearly a month away from the tournaments. Next she'll face a really in-form opponent, but if she gives it her best we can hope for a win.

Good luck!

Re: **Jasmina Tinjic Chearing Thread**

Jasmina lost to Gojnea but kept it extremely close: 26 62 57. While a loss, it's a very encouraging and promising performance by Jasmina, given Gojnea's form and ranking.

Besides, this week might not be over yet for Jasmina, as there's one LL spot in the MD so far.

Not a bad week, well done Jasmina!

Next stop, Nantes 50k+H (where she's currently 17th in qualies).

Jasmina continues to play her shocking series of non-100k challengers Next week she'll play qualies of a 25k in Bratislava!

Currently 11th on the Bratislava quali list, so she might even be seeded there, and she's also on the list for Prerov 25k the week after, currently as the 1st alt.

^ The qualifying draw is out for Bratislava, and Jasmina is seeded #5. In QR1 she plays a local WC, Marta SRAMKOVA, who doesn't have an ITF profile. In the second, and final, qualifying round, the winner plays either Viktoria MALOVA or the #10 seed, Lucie KRIEGSMANNOVA.

This is a good chance for Jasmina to qualify. Good luck!

Assuming she continues with solid performances we've seen these past few months, she shouldn't have any problems qualifying here.

Good luck

QR1: (5)Jasmina Tinjic (CRO) d. (wc)Marta Sramkova (SVK) 61 60. Expected but still

Final qualie round is against Kriegsmannova; she needed three sets to beat Malova, who's unranked, so it looks good for Jasmina.

I'm really hoping she doesn't blow it because there are some placements in the MD, though also some not-so-good ones:

+ Broady (#232)
+ Cepelova (WC, #508)
+ (Karolina) Pliskova (#7 seed, #203)
+ Q vs Q
+ Schmidlova (WC, unranked)
+ (Kristina) Kucova (#234)
+ Rodina (#2 seed, #103)

Here's hoping that Jasmina qualifies and gets Schmidlova , not Rodina

Re: **Jasmina Tinjic Chearing Thread**

A great start! That's what I like; when a player realizes that she's much better than the other girl and goes out to prove it without hesitation. The worst thing that can happen in qualies (besides losing) is if you waste too much time and effort on the court for no reason, and then you run out of gas in the MD. After all, it's just one point for winning two matches here, so bagels and breadsticks are more than welcome

(5)Jasmina Tinjic (CRO) def. (10)Lucie Kriegsmannova (CZE) 6:1, 6:2

Don't know her R1 opponent yet, but she's in the MD of doubles too, she and Sina Haas will face the 4th seeds Pochabova/Wienerova in R1.

In R1, Jasmina plays Kucova. It could have been worse, but it could also have been much better. Let's hope Jasmina surprises us again.
