Re: Pentathlon #20 -- China Open -- Send for Wednesday!

Laszlo, if you're not too busy can you explain a bit on how the Penta scores are computed? I know it's summarized but I'm not sure how.

The leader in each game gets 100 points, and the other players get the percentage of their score to the leader's score (so if the leader has 200 points, and you have 140 points, you get 70 Pentathlon points). The 5 percentages are then summed up to give the final Pentathlon score.

The percentage is your score in each game divided by the best score in that game. Let's take your score as an example.

In TC you have 88 points and leader Michael! has 91. Therefore, the percentage is 88/91 = 97/100 = 97 %
In WAR you have 117 points, leader rnwerner has 178, so you get 117/178 = 66/100 = 66 %.
SEQ: 682/730 = 93/100 = 93 %
PRO: 574/623 = 92/100 = 92 %
FO: you're in the lead, so you get 100 points.

97 +66 + 93 + 92 + 100 = 448 points.

The percentages are also listed in the table, next to the score for each game.

I wont agree.Indian T20 team is better,at least it doesnt lose matches to let some MUG teams win them (just not to let Indian side into semifinals )
