Poor form from both the Williams' and Clijsters as both of these teams would have been directly in on their rankings if they had entered on time.

Sanchez reportedly applied for a WC with Falconi. I don't know, maybe a 50/50 shot for them to get one? Could be tough to ignore if Falconi wins the dubs final in Dallas tonight.

Re: Women's Doubles WC

Keys and Pegula requested one as well. Some teams are going to miss out because stupid Williams and Clysters not entering . That sucks

Much better chance to get a WC with Falconi who just reached a couple of WTA finals this summer (Washington & Dallas) and totally deserves one.

On their rankings, obviously. The only way for a direct entry

Re: Women's Doubles WC

The Williams' are going to be the 16th seeds, so yeah, them getting a WC is annoying since they would have gotten in directly. But oh well.

Re: Women's Doubles WC

Honestly the Williams shouldn't get a wildcard . Yes they'll probably win but they've shown just about zero commitment to doubles the past few years and the fact that they're too lazy/pompous to even bother to enter on time since they know they don't have to and therefore rob their young and hopeful compatriots of this chance shows extremely poor form. Not that that's anything new with them .

My number one: Victoria Azarenka

ATP: Novak Djoković

Crazy Frenchies! Gilles Simon Alizé Cornet

Well that is hard to do when Serena is had an embolism from 2010 Wimbledon until 2011 Wimbledon to which followed with Venus being out due to her syndrome and then being too early to add doubles in her 2012 schedule.

And the WC would have gone to a team that would probably have lost in R1 anyways.
