WHO WILL WIN? Make a forecast.

It's pretty weird. Spain..."indoor" Huh??
lol. I think it could go to any of the four
teams because each team has 1 player that
can play indoors. Slovakia- Daniela.
Spain- Marta. Italy- Rita. Austria- Babsi.

I think it will be one of the more exciting Fed
Cup ties. The teams are evenly matched this
year in terms of talent, and determination.
I feel that the doubles match will be the decider
of the event with Slovakia taking home the big
prize due to the outstanding form Janette Husarova
has been showing. I think ASV may have reached
her peak. Rita is great; but I don't think she can
carry the Italian team alone. Babsi is a hit and miss
doubles player; can't see Austria winning the doubles
tie.

Any comments?

I'll be getting "live" coverage next week , so I'll post
my match after thoughts to you guys.

It is indoor cause although it will be played in Canarias, the weather can't be good for a tennis match, i think.

Marta is not a good indoor player and she is not even in the team for the final. Maybe you meant Magi.

I think it will be a Spain vs Slovakia final. Altough Italy & Austria have their chances too, i think Spain and Slovakia are the strongest teams.

I think the favourite to win is Slovakia cause Daniela. Although i think Spain will win, cause Arantxa & Conchita in the last years used to lose to the strongest player in the other team, but they always win the weak player of the other team, so it would be a doubles matter. And it is played in Spain, so the suppourt of the crowd will be very important.

I think Slovakia is the clear favourite, but all the teams have chances.

It should be a Spain-Slovakia final, and I think the crowd will have an important role, the Spaniards will have an extra motivation although they haven't been doing good lately, so I hope that Spain reaches the final and wins, although it will be very hard.

I would like to see a Slovakia - Austria final!!!

Daniela and Babsi should win both singles matches and in doubles Babsi and Patricia will win 12-10 in the final set

As I said somewhere else Slovakia is the favourite and they will win. It is a pity that they to face Italy in SF beacuse I think Italy is the 2nd strongest team here. Spain ? no chances. I love ASV, she has been one of my favourite player for the last 10 years, but she is going downhill dramatically and, sadly, I cannot see her playing another year on the tour. Conchita has improved, and they have the home-factor that is important. They may beat Austria, the weakest team, but not Slovakia or Italy.

Mexico is my house, Italy is my heart....

I hope TEAM Slovakia isn't too tired from playing
the Euro indoor season. Italy might be tired too.

I think Austria's chances have just gone up.

Then for sure Slovakia will win. (And Dani will be pumped up and just barely loose the finals of LA to Rena or maybe she will even win )
