Arrow French team

french team: Amelie Mauresmo,Nathalie Dechy,Emilie Loit and one between Virginie Razzano or Stephanie Foretz.
Testud of course withdrew cos of her pregnancy, and Pierce withdrew too for "personal reasons".Guy Forget asked to Tauziat if she wanted to play double but she refused.

The team has been finalized: Amelie, Nathalie, Emilie and Stephanie!

That is an indoor surface, I believe. They should be playing outdoors on a hardcourt, though

Unhappy

Emilie retired from her match against Aranxta today with a shoulder problem. I hope she'll be OK in time for Fed Cup.

From the FFT website (translated by babelfish ):

Emilie Loit was not able to fully defend her chances in semi-finals in Brussels. Opposed to Arantxa Sanchez, head of series n°1, the left-handed person of Cherbourg gave up after having conceded first set 6/4. She suffers from one wound to the shoulder. Emilie must thus have patience to dispute the first final of her career. In Belgium, it however took down a new good result which confirms its progress in 2002. The gravity of its wound is not yet known. Its participation in the second tower of the EDF Cup Slovaquie-France (July 20-21), a meeting for which it was selected, is not called into question for the moment.

She has a few days to recover, at least

What a match...

Allez Amelie! Go Daniela! What a match coming up between two of my favourite players. If only it were a grandslam final......

Whoever wins, I hope it's an exciting and close contest.
