USA will lose its qualifying tie...

...if they draw Hungary or Colombia in foreign soil.

The tie would be played on clay right after Wimbledon so no Williamses or Davenport, OBVIOUSLY not Capriati and Seles and Shaughnessy maybe reluctant to play before the looong hardcourt american tour they play every year (and even if the play you have seen last weekend ). So then you have Raymond and Stevenson that will only play one tournament this year on red clay -the French-

On the other hand you have the hungarian team with Mandula (QF in Roland Garros 01'), experienced Kuti Kis (with a WTA tour title and last year victories in Rome over Capriati and Majoli) and young Gubacsi (last year win Casablanca on clay and 3rd round in the French Open and this year semis in Oporto).

And don't forget the colombians who save their best tennis to be played on their homecountry. In this year Bogotá tourny the winner (for the 2nd time) was Zuluaga with wins over claycourters like Torrens-Valero, Suárez,Srebotnik and Kuti-Kis, all of them winners of claycourt events. And Colombia's n.2 Catalina Castańo reached the semis beating 2nd seed Leon Garcia and young Salerni, both claycourt specialists.

So I just hope the USA get one of these teams and see an interesting tie with an epic result just like last weekend.
