it would appear that it's bulgaria or the netherlands. though i hope that israel can pull off the big win and move to group I. that'd be nice.

I went with Slovenia. Matevzic and Pisnik are both top 100 of singles and capable of winning against anyone in this group if at their best (though also unpredictable because they are capable of losing some bad matches aswell!), plus Tina Krizan is an excellent doubles player and should win matches with Tina Pisnik so I think they are probably the strongest team, though Netherlands also has a good mix of capable singles and doubles players.

Slovenia.

They've got Srebotnik and the 2 Tina's;
Pisnik and Krizan. The doubles tie is surely
their's with Kat and Tina.

Slovenia

it *should* go well for them

I cheer for Williams x 2, Pierce, Patty, Nastya and Kim

I miss Sandrine, Monica, Iva & Joanette

I miss Pinky and the Brain. I want Anna K back so she and Hingis can get in more cat fights like the old days.

Slovenia!

Greenout, even without Kata (who's not playing) SLO are the best team!

Thats also the reason, they are seeded #1

Oh...

Did not know Kat isn't doing Fed Cup qualies this
weekend. She's usually on the team roster and her
form on clay had been pretty good so...

Good Luck Slovenia!

Is Maggie playing for Bulgaria this weekend?
and what about Anne Kremer and Lux? Can't
really name any Polish or Dutch tennis players
off the top of my head.

Luxemburg with Kremer and Shaul is the best team, but Bulgaria with Maleeva is not far behind

A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening ear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.
