Clijsters won't play Fed Cup...

I just heard it on the radio... In April, Kim Clijsters will not play against Australia in the first round of the Fed Cup...

It's so sad... We only have two good players in singles at the moment... Hopefully Els Callens can keep her good form she has right now and can cause an upset...

It's not just in April, I read she won't play Fed Cup the entire year

I hope you get well Kimmie! Let that arm rest so you can play without the pain!

Australia won't be a problem, but Italy on clay and away, might be too tough; too bad after last years victory. I wonder too if Justine will play all rounds, when she has to win it mostly on her own now, she could prefer the regular tournaments.

Atleast Australia has a small chaNCE.....Nicole issuper fast and consistent , should do well on the clay and win atleast one match......ALicia should also win atleast one singles match and might just cause the upset over JuJu , you never know....we have the doubles in the bagIMO as els is the only good dubs player they have.....

hope aus wins.....will they play in australia next rd if they do?

Good luck to the Aussie and Balkan girls!

I don't think the Fed Cup game against Australia will be on clay, I heard it was indoor..

Seems logic it would be indoor anyway, in April It should be indoor clay as indoor carpet or hardcourt are Justines worst surfaces.

Excuse me, you think Belgium have no problem for Australia? I don't think so! If there play on Clay and we need Rachel McQuillan, who best claycourter in Australia and she will give them tough. If there play on Hard, we need Alicia Molik and Nicole Pratt, who in Top 50 in the world and they will give them tough especially other Belgian not Justine Henin. In Doubles, of course Rachel McQuillan will play as usually in Fed Cup and she is too good at Doubles!

True, Justine didn't have her best results indoor. But I still think she does more than okay. She had a few tough losses last year, but she also had some very good results. When she's at her best, she shouldn't have a problem.

And actually Justine is also a very good doubles player. I must admit she hasn't played a lot with Els, and when she did, they didn't do well. But look at her doubles results last year and at the beginning of the year. She and Meghann are one of the best teams in the world.

I agree that Italy will be a lot tougher and it isn't sure if Justine will play then also...

I'm not so sure that we get past Australia so easy, it could be finished fast.

But GO BELGIUM!!
