When Julia was down 0-4 in the 2nd against Begu, I just knew that she would be stuck with the "Bagelled by Begu" tagline. Just add it to the pile of crushing baggage from this disastrous year.

Is there a turnaround specialist for hopeless cases?

Well, it was a low-point. Probably the lowest even of this horrible year, together with Katowice and Wimbledon. Oh, and losing to McHale in straight sets. And Karatantcheva..ok maybe it wasn't actually the low point, it's just the freshest horror story.

I guess Julia likes the game of Limbo. How low can you go?

Someone photoshop Julia's upside-down head on there.

She would just hurt herself again. :O

Julia is scheduled for tomorrow, 11:00 JST on Center Court against Cirstea. That's 04:00 CEST. Third singles match in Asia this year and third time she gets the earliest match.

And of course no week without the all-important doubles!

[1] Hsieh Su-Wei/Peng Shuai vs. Daniela Hantuchova/Lisa Raymond
[WC] Dominika Cibulkova/Marina Erakovic vs. Julia Goerges/Barbora Zahlavova Strycova

Julia can't keep slumping forever like this, can she?

Only if she keeps her current team and they keep on using the same strategy (I'm not quite sure what the game plan is at this point).

Re: Julia, Sascha and Raj on vacation in Asia 2013

Julia lost to Cirstea, 4-6 4-6. The unforced errors (56) did her in, as well as her inability to get to the ball (I think she's getting slower ).

What upsets me are those moments when she does shine--the aggressiveness, the awesome ace down the T, the massive forehand--and then she gives those achievements away with the most preventable mistakes.

All that talent in those great moments--surely there's a coach out there somewhere that can help her capitalize on the gifts she has and help her overcome the challenges. Is it possible to improve speed if her training has made her too muscle-bound?

Albert Einstein

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

So due all this above, I didn't even excpect her to win, I just looked up how hard has she lost.
It is screaming time for her to change team, I strongly and warmly recommend Anna Chakvetadze. She recently retired and said she is open to work with players. She is a former top player with very good or excellent psychology knowledge (she studied P), besides that hiring ex top players appeared to be great choice many times. It's not because I like Anna C., I think she needs to grab her untill someone else does. I dislike Hingis, but Pavlyuchenkova hiring her was a great move. I just won't bother hope for her to win some matches, untill she changes sth (definition above)

Princess Anna Chakvetadze

Re: Julia, Sascha and Raj on vacation in Asia 2013

I didn´t watch it, but 56 UEs in 20 games, seriously?
46 46, means that Cirstea probably played quite bad also, 8 aces at least to mention sth positive, awful shape obviously...can´t see her winning any matches playing like this...needs to face some useless WC or similar to get some wins before the season is over...whatever, had no more hope anyway, let´s just hope that she is able to make the right decisions during the off season..2013 was just shit

56 UE?? Wow. Cirstea won 79 points, so more than two thirds of her points have been gifts. Twice broken at *4-4. When will Julia finally wake up and realize that "just carry on" doesn't do the trick?

And incredibly sad for her personally. When she said "I have people around me who believe in me" I couldn't help but think "You have people around you that you're paying shitloads of money to believe whatever finances their lifestyle". She's still flying them around the globe in Business class.
