Well, it is similar for me. He was a hero for me at the end of last year (after that Davis Cup title win ) but I start to be angry when I see him on the photos from her matches, not to mention that she is on even bigger slump since she started to seeing him. The only way I can think of him in good light is when he plays doubles with Paes.

And I totally understand your reasons for your opinion about him. Fro me, I hope it will end soon enough.

Petra Kvitová * Tomáš Berdych * Lucie Šafářová * BZS * Angie Kerber
Karolína Plíšková * Andy Murray * Roger Federer * Tommy Haas
Radek Štěpánek * Leander Paes ** Andrea Hlaváčková & Lucie Hradecká
And other Czech Davis Cup and Fed Cup team members

She's rarely hits winners in the 20's, 30's is all but impossible. She relies on her opponents, especially the better players with damaging serves and powerful groundies, to err themselves out of games in order to keep herself in a game or match, for her game lacks the weapons "to be" aggressive. Petra killing winners? Sure, Petra can nail clean winners against anyone, even while her game is off overall. We've all seen how devastating Petra is when "on". However, the "horrible, horrible mistakes" is what Petra has been producing this year for the most part, the horror of watching her butchering volleys, overheads and ground strokes leaving the court by kilometers in routine rallies has practically become the norm for her, while losing to players she should beat. Even on weak serves, Petra's return of serve is lacking. Lastly, if Caro' was at the net, putting away volleys that means Petra was likely mishitting loads, allowing for Caro' to come to the net to put them away, for Petra's ground game makes her opponent play deep. Nope, sorry, not buying your friend's account.

However, we'll see tonight against Vika how "aggressive" Caroline's game has "suddenly" become.
wow, you're really hating on Wozz, give gurl the credit she won the match because she played better not because her opponent was playing poorly. firs of all having aggressive game plan is not equal being ball basher that hits tons of winners. dominating Petra not hard at all these days, she isn't hitting winners on the run like she used to rather hits very short or overhits thus giving Wozz the chance of coming in and taking the ball early. Petra still hasn't learn how to close the net and good scrambler like Wozz can make Petra work harder and make her move and this will open up opportunities for Karolina to finish the point, she was good at it during her peak in 2010-11 when she worked her opponents just to have one slim opportunity to finish the point. Secondly Petra doesn't move as good as she moved in Dubai or during USO swing last year where she was on every ball Wozz returned and worked the ball patiently to hit winners, most of this season she does the opposite lose patience and makes an error or gives huge opportunity for opponent to finish the point. I've been pointing almost all season that she's one step slower to the ball therefore can't properly construct the point and Wozz is the kind of player who thrives on headcases like this, problem for Karolina was that with her attempts to be more aggressive she dropped level of her defense making silly errors that she isn't know for. at this tournament looks like Karolina finally found balance between playing her old wall defense with being aggressive while Petra looks worse and worse

I was at this match. First set was great, she was in control. Second and third she dropped off, bad serving, made stupid errors, let Caroline come in.

I hate him too. He has made it into a habit to play havoc with the lives and careers of the top Czech female players. I mean how on earth Petra could do this to herself despite being aware of everything that happened with Nicole! Nicole was the best player to have emerged out of the Czech since Jana but what could have been a wonderful career was cut short when this guy came into her life. Then emerged Petra, first grand slam winner from Czech in more than a decade, and guess what the same guy gets involved with her too!! Too bizarre to be true.

And this is quite a unique example. Never have I heard that one by one, the two best female players of a country, belonging to the same generation, getting hooked up with the same guy, despite such an age gap. (I don’t think Justine and Kim dated the same guy.). And that too a fellow who brings such a negative influence on their careers. Why is he allowed to do this? I wonder if there is any debate about it in the Czech Republic. Aren’t there any other male players in the Czech? Why does it have to be him every time? I thought that no female players would get involve with him after seeing Nicole’s downfall!! But as they say truth is stranger than fiction!

Though, I am so glad to know that you too feel the same way and so many others too. You are right that she has slumped further after getting involved with him. That’s why I was so apprehensive about this relationship and that’s the reason why I kept mentioning it again and again. For Petra’s sake I too hope that it will end soon, but why did it even happen in the first place?

I feel she’ll do well at New Haven though, may well defend her title because none of the big names play there. But you never know with Petra.

I don't like him, I mean, what's that special with him which makes him fatal for tennis players?

It's probably something we can't see

I still think that even new more aggressive Caro is beatable for Petra, when she holds her serve and doesn't give her gifts in the form of DF or 3 deuces in a row that she lost and so on. But it's kinda better that the problems is in the game, not as much as in the head, because that is much harder to repair or improve.

As I said, I can understand you anger and I also don't get it. There are other male players, but there are not good for her either: Berdych - he was smart enough to find a model after he dated Safarova for 11 years and they broke up, Vesely - he is as young as Pavlasek. I would try to find somewhere else if I were her.

I don't have big expectations for NH, it would be nice if she played more than two matches there (not including doubles).

There were some speculations, I would leave it as that we just don't know.

Let's say it was about length or size of some specific human organs. You would have to find the original bombshell thread from PM.

Re: Petra lost to Caroline in Cincy

Just watched the Azarenka straight sets win over Caroline.

So this was the Peak Caroline who beat Petra

Please Petra, get a recording of this match and watch it over and over again taking plenty of notes. Write at the top of the page 'how to overcome a little adversity'

Kvitova [20] - Simona [15]

Aga [20] - Sevastova [2] - Kasatkina [1] - Cetkovska - Bencic [2] - Rybarikova [4]

OK. Thanks.

That settles it.

And of course Caro precedes to lose against a 50% (take your choice) Azarenka, who may lose to Jankovic [former/current has been] this afternoon?

We'll see?

"they" [on GM] even speculated moreso, that he was a "Sweet Talker" who impressed a lot of these small town/young Czech Girlz!! Some (who claims they met him), even said he was quite charming, and better looking in person.

This part makes more sense. Cause you can can get Big **** anywhere, and for a moment. But to go out with, marry a guy; there's got to be something more (whether that comes with it or not), especially for world class athletes/heroes in their country.
