Excelscior, it will most likely be 5:30 AM EST, Thursday January 17 for us.

Petra and Laura, the two predominant left hand power hitters, should be a great match.

Yeah, didn't realize/forgot it was the second match. So I probably will miss it.

As far the match? Who knows.

Yeah, let's hope it's a good one and Petra wins.

The title is actually pretty good, but I thought that it went against your creative principles to steal an idea from another poster....It won't matter much, though, cuz you'll be finding a new title within the next 24 hrs. after Petra wins

We people in the crisis-ridden EU are actually loving this scheduling . A nice match to wake up to and enjoy one's morning tea or coffee.

I'm actually thinking about watching Lucie's shitfest match as well, but I'll probably skip it and enjoy a good sleep to be fresh for Petra's show, as you never know if it's not her last match in Australia until 2014

Lucie will be playing around 5-6am EET but i hit the road around 6a.m, once again at this AO i will miss opportunity to watch Czech girls play outside of Petra, tho i'm not sure i can make it before her match starts too, only hope on Davydenko to make it at least 2 hours

Re: Petra and Laura dancing Gangnam Style in Melbourne

This might be slightly off-topic,but the thought came to me after seeing Stosur bomb out early yet again at her 'home Slam': How do you all feel that Petra would do if the "Czech Open" were the 'fifth Slam'?

Re: Petra and Laura dancing Gangnam Style in Melbourne

What the hell she is playing?I really don't like her disappointment written on her face and her negative body language.

Petra Kvitova Nicole Vaidisova Lucie Safarova
Lucie Hradecka Iveta Benesova Barbora Zahlavova Strycova
Klara Zakopalova Petra Cetkovska Pliskova twins

Petra's finished (at the moment), till she changes her team and/or mindset, work habits.

It's simple as that!!!!!!!

She isn't a quarter of the player she was, even last year (first half of the season).

Just awful all around.

And even if she was suffering from asthma today. That should have made her play smarter on the key points, so she could have won this in two sets, or earlier in the third. You just can't keep giving away easy opportunities (especially BP's and easy to handle 2nd serves and gimmees all game), and expect to win, especially if you're not 100%, and the other player is capable of having their decent moments.

I wonder what will happen to Petra's UniCredit Bank commercials. The bank has jumped on Petra's slam-champion bandwagon and now she lost in 4th and 2nd round of slam and pulled out of YEC.

Are they going to terminate the contract?

That's where she should work on too. But that stems from mental aspects.
